Growing up in the Southwest, one of my favorite times to be in the desert was after a brief thunder storm. I loved the color of the sky and all the flora and fauna that sprang to life after a short shower. The sweet smell of mesquite filled the air and everything looked and felt vibrant, clear and clean.
