Today, 5 of the world's 7 sea turtle species are endangered.
Hundreds of thousands of sea turtles are accidentally caught by fishing gear every year. They are also harvested unsustainably both for human consumption and trade of their parts.
In addition, habitat loss and climate change continue to threaten these animals.
You can adopt a sea turtle by donating to the WWF to help protect wildlife, like the sea turtle, and wild places around the world.
Allison Constantino is an Orlando, Florida, area artist who loves Nature. She loves the ocean and is an avid supporter of cleaning up our oceans from plastic debris and is part of the Surfrider Foundation’s “Rise Above Plastics” initiative.
